Transfiguration Nature Camp

Each year our own Mike Supernault teaches a camp here on site for area kids.  Affectionately called "Bug Camp", the week long sessions are designed to teach middle school aged children about different animal habitats and to introduce the children to some of the organisms that live in those habitats.

Mike has 34 years of teaching experience and has a masters and bachelors degree from Central Michigan University in Geography.  He is passionate about the natural world and shares that passion with everyone he meets.  Mike spent most of his teaching career teaching science to Middle School Children, as well as establishing and running the Lapeer Community Schools Nature Center.  Our discovery center and day camp at Transfiguration was developed by Mike as well.

The Dates for Nature Camp for 2018 are June 26-29 and July 10-13.  Cost to attend is $60 per student, but there are scholarships available to make camp affordable for everyone.  For more information please contact the church office.
